The TEE Softeners are engineered and manufactured to provide reliable and efficient removal of calcium and magnesium ions from feed water, serving as a key pre-treatment step in pharmaceutical water systems. Designed in compliance with cGMP and GEP standards, these units protect downstream equipment such as Reverse Osmosis systems by reducing scaling potential and improving operational efficiency.
• Applications in pharmaceutical industry for multiple batch vessel and systems for chemical batch processing
• Suitable for processing fermentation, food processing, and chemical batch from liquid materials
Code of practice based on engineering experience
• All pressure vessels designed to ASME Section VIII Div 1
• Fabricated stainless steel tanks designed to a design
• Tanks with direct cooling/heating equipment (Standard)
• All stainless steel construction with superior finish for improved cleaning
• Removable & flexible manholes
• Conical/dished base with full drainage
• Sample valves, CIP spray balls
• Insulation & cladding
• Agitator fitting capability
• Temperature and pH monitoring
The softener uses ion-exchange resin to replace calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) ions with sodium (Na⁺) ions. Once the resin becomes saturated, a regeneration cycle using sodium chloride (NaCl) restores the resin’s capacity.
Flow Rate Capacity: 2,000 to 20,000 L/hr Regeneration Method: Co-current or counter-current (as per project requirements) Automation: PLC-controlled with optional SCADA integration (21 CFR Part 11 compliant) Resin Type: Pharmaceutical-grade, high-capacity strong acid cation resin Tank Pressure Rating: Up to 10 bar
